Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern at Mulbah is responsible for supporting the execution of campaigns, productions, and partner communication for four founder-led, positive impact consumer brands. This role blends organization, creativity, and hands-on execution. You will assist with partner meetings, coordinate pre- and post-meeting communication, support productions, and engage with audiences on social media. Your work will directly support campaign execution, partner relationships, and brand growth.

This is a part-time, fixed-term position for a duration of 6 months. At the end of the contract, there is a potential for a full-time position based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

Partner Leadership

  • Ensure relevant team members are present on Partner meetings depending on presentations, performance discussions, or campaign updates.

  • Lead strategic discussions during Partner meetings and guide conversations toward clear outcomes.

  • Share observations and insights from the meeting with the internal team.

Pre-Meeting Procedures

  • Prepare meeting agendas one day prior to each meeting.
  • Identify and confirm relevant team members based on meeting objectives.
  • Coordinate participation for presentations, data discussions, or platform-specific updates.
  • Reach out to partners two days prior to confirm availability, agenda, and attending team members.
  • Send structured Pre-Meeting Notes via Slack with agenda and context.

Post-Meeting Procedures

  • Create detailed meeting recaps with clear action items and deadlines.
  • Share recaps in the partner’s Slack channel using structured formatting.
  • Log all follow-up requests in Notion under the “Partner Requests” section with clear deadlines.
  • If a partner does not join after 8 minutes, send a rescheduling message via Slack.
  • Move the task to “Waiting For” and ensure follow-ups are tracked for the next meeting.

Production Assistant

  • Pick up equipment and materials needed for production.

  • Assist the team during production shoots.

  • Support models with wardrobe preparation and adjustments.

  • Assist the photographer during production.

  • Help with set setup and breakdown.

Content Creation

  • Review the Campaign content plan and capture content aligned with campaign messaging, promotions, seasonal themes, and product highlights.
  • Monitor social media trends and create additional trend based or creative content opportunities when appropriate.
  • Edit captured content into polished social-ready deliverables using best practices such as clean pacing, captions or subtitles, trending audio, and on-brand text overlays.

  • Produce minimum of 15 finished pieces of reels/images each quarter.

  • Create a minimum of 15 finished pieces of designs using tools such as Canva each quarter.

  • Capture behind-the-scenes (BTS) content during production.

  • Ensure all content meets platform standards including HD quality, proper lighting, clear audio, stable framing, and format.
  • Upload finalized assets to the Partner’s Shared Google Drive and organize them into the appropriate folders.

Social Media Engagement

  • Respond to comments and direct messages on the brand’s social media platforms.

  • Engage with relevant posts across social media by commenting and interacting with the community.

  • Maintain consistent brand tone and responsiveness.

Results

  • Drive a 20% increase in follower count per partner every quarter
  • Drive a 20% increase in follower count for Mulbah every quarter

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Proven experience creating content for social media (personally or professionally)
  • Based in the Washington Metropolitan Area
  • Available to be in office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Available to attend monthly recurring Partner meetings
  • Able to travel to production locations as needed
  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to shoot and edit high-quality short-form video on a phone or camera using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Final Cut Pro
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong written communication skills for notes, recaps, and social media engagement
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, team-based environments
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve quickly

Salary

  • $1000 per month
  • At the end of the contract, there is a potential for a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
